In an unusual twist to the continuing Sherlock Holmes Saga, Storyteller decided to celebrate the 151st year of the birth of Sir Arthur Conan Doyle because Sir Doyle is not really worth forgetting after the 150th year celebrations are done away with.

Ahuja Museum for Arts 26 Lee Road, Ground Floor , (at Elgin Road, Lee Road Crossing) Sujit Karmakar's works display stark realism on first impression and once the initial impact loosens its hold, one cannot help but notice his well-finished craft. The artist favours large canvases, which strengthens emotions in the compositions. His works portray struggle of the common man that he is familiar with. He often chooses children as his subject, detailing larger bromide prints with his acrylic-on-canvas work.

Such encounters open the interior experience of wholeness and belong to the realm of the sacred and erotic. Their truth is known only because of a set of accidents. This exhibition keeps the record of such events, nearly effaced or self-effacing, but altogether real. The participants include Jogen Chowdhury, Prokash Karmakar, Rabin Mondal, Subrata Ghosh, Wasim Kapoor.
