The artist favours large canvases, which strengthens emotions in the compositions. His works portray struggle of the common man that he is familiar with. He often chooses children as his subject, detailing larger bromide prints with his acrylic-on-canvas work.
Interpretation of Eclectric Encounters Saturday, November 13th, 2010. 11 a.m. to  7 p.m. Gallery Kolkata 2nd Floor, Duckback House, 41 , Shakespeare SaraniThe exhibition space acts as a site where these 26 eminent artists work out their destiny, the right to signify human experience as the “wholeness’ of existence, dispensing with utilitarian projects and engaging with the violent dynamic that has no other object than the return to a lost totality. Such encounters open the interior experience of wholeness and belong to the realm of the sacred and erotic. Their truth is known only because of a set of accidents. This exhibition keeps the record of such events, nearly effaced or self-effacing, but altogether real. The participants include Jogen Chowdhury, Prokash Karmakar, Rabin Mondal, Subrata Ghosh, Wasim Kapoor.
